Advay Kaushik is an A-Level student at Vasant Valley School with a strong academic interest in public health, particularly in epidemiology, disease prevention, and community health. Through his coursework and independent research, he has explored questions surrounding healthcare access, early disease detection, and public health systems.
Alongside his academics, Advay has also interned at BMST Rotary Labs, Marengo Asia Hospital, and the IIT Delhi Center for Biomedical Engineering. Through these internships, he gained practical exposure to diagnostics, biomedical research and clinical practice. He is also currently working on a research project on the role of liquid biopsies in the early detection of Esophageal Adenocarcinoma.
These experiences have made him more passionate about wanting to improve access to healthcare information and preventative care in society. Through this initiative, he hopes to contribute to more equitable cancer care by addressing the existing gaps in awareness and support systems.Â
